This special launch edition is for young Muslims, by young Muslims. It was created at a time of normalised hostility toward Muslim communities, when the need for spaces to speak truth to power is more urgent than ever. We cannot – and never have – relied on mainstream modes of media.

Published periodically, the zine exists to amplify voices long spoken over by those who theorise on our behalf. We hope that the publication serves as a way of documenting resistance but also the love, joy and beautiful histories of our faith and communities. Our first issue contains 55 pages of personalised essays, fiction, photography, illustrations and even a comic.
